Yukari Fukui is a Japanese soprano who began her musical training at the Nagoya College of Music and continued her studies at the International University of Kagoshima under Prof. Uwe Heilmann. In 2020, she completed her Master’s degree in Opera Singing at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, studying with Prof. Maria Venuti, and in 2024 she earned her Soloist Diploma (Solistenexamen) under Prof. Hanno Müller-Brachmann. She also received important artistic inspiration through opera coachings with Kammersängerin Prof. Julia Varady and Dorothea Röschmann.

Yukari Fukui is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Special Prize at the International Mozart Competition Salzburg (2023), the Silver Medal at the Vienna International Music Competition (2023), First Prize at the “Belà Voce” Competition of the Kulturfonds Baden e.V. (2023), and First Prize at the Fürstin Eugénie Prize 2024 in Lied Duo together with her pianist Yuan Ma. She is also a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Karlsruhe e.V.

On the operatic stage, she has appeared in a wide range of roles, including Blonde, Despina, and Susanna in Japan. Further engagements include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Ettlingen Castle Festival, Serpetta in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. She also performed the roles of Ida in Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus at the Opernfestspiele Glatt.

In addition to her operatic work, Yukari Fukui is active as a concert singer. Her repertoire includes works by Mozart, Schubert, Richard Strauss, and Bach. In April 2025, she made her debut with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the direction of Dirk Kaftan, performing Mozart’s Requiem. In September of the same year, she sang the soprano solo in Mendelssohn’s Elijah in Tokyo, conducted by Prof. Uwe Heilmann.

Die japanische Sopranistin Yukari Fukui begann ihre musikalische Ausbildung an der Hochschule für Musik in Nagoya und setzte ihr Studium an der International University Kagoshima bei Prof. Uwe Heilmann fort. Im Jahr 2020 schloss sie ihren Master in Operngesang an der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe bei Prof. Maria Venuti ab und absolvierte 2024 ihr Solistenexamen bei Prof. Hanno Müller-Brachmann. Yukari Fukui ist Preisträgerin mehrerer renommierter Wettbewerbe, darunter der Sonderpreis beim Internationalen Mozartwettbewerb Salzburg (2023), die Silbermedaille bei der Vienna International Music Competition (2023), der Erste Preis beim Wettbewerb »Belà Voce« des Kulturfonds Baden e.V. 福井友加里は、愛知県出身のソプラノ歌手。名古屋音楽大学卒業。ドイツ州立カールスルーエ音楽大学大学院オペラ科修了、同大学国家演奏家資格課程を首席で修了。在学中、ユリア・ヴァラディ氏、ドロテア・レシュマンによるオペラ歌唱指導を通じて、重要な芸術的刺激を受けている。第83回読売新聞社主催新人演奏会出演。

これまでに数々の国際的コンクールで受賞歴を重ね、2023年にはザルツブルク国際モーツァルト・コンクール特別賞、ウィーン国際音楽コンクール『銀メダル』、Kulturfonds Baden e.V. 主催「Belà Voce」コンクール第1位を受賞。さらに2024年には、ピアニストのYuan Maとのリート・デュオとして、フュルスティン・オイゲーニー賞第1位を受賞した。リヒャルト・ワーグナー協会カールスルーエ支部の奨学生でもある。

オペラでは、日本にてブロンデ、デスピーナ、スザンナなどを演じ、ドイツではエットリンゲン城祝祭にて《魔笛》のパミーナ、バーデン州立劇場カールスルーエにてモーツァルト《偽の女庭師》のセルペッタ、ガルミッシュ＝パルテンキルヒェンで開催されたリヒャルト・シュトラウス音楽祭にて《ナクソス島のアリアドネ》のツェルビネッタを務めた。さらに、オペルンフェストシュピーレ・グラットでは、ヨハン・シュトラウス《こうもり》のイーダ役を演じている。オペラに加え、コンサート歌手としても幅広く活動し、モーツァルト、シューベルト、リヒャルト・シュトラウス、バッハなどの作品をレパートリーとする。2025年4月には、指揮者ディルク・カフタンのもと、ベートーヴェン管弦楽団ボンと共演し、モーツァルト《レクイエム》でデビュー。同年9月には、日本にてウーヴェ・ハイルマンの指揮のもと、メンデルスゾーン《エリア》のソプラノ独唱を務めた。

声楽を浅野仁美、渡部千枝、ウーヴェ・ハイルマン、マリア・ヴェヌーティ、ハンノ・ミュラー＝ブラハマンの各氏に師事。
